Special announcement

It is will deep regret that I have to announce the passing of Bob Timms.

Bob died this morning, friday 30th, after a fight with cancer. Bob joined the club in 2015 and became an active member. Bob served on the committee with a period as Vice Commodore which he resigned due to his ill health, also selling his boat, Miss Moffat II, last year.

Bob also did a lot of work with the Sea Scouts at Kings Lock and was a volunteer lock keeper at Kings.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Mary and family.

The Swan (Radcot) Cruiser club was founded in 1985 with an initial membership of 25.

It has now progressed to 108 boats which equates to over 200 people.

We are a very relaxed and frendly club. Our aim is to have fun and enjoy our boating. We hold social events through out the year which are well attended. We do not have a club house or moorings of our own so our events are held at riverside venues usually with live entertainment.

We are the largest club on the upper reaches of the Thames with links to other boating organisations who are all trying to improve the boating expeience. If you have a problem that we cannot help you with, we may know a man who can.
